font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">mechanical heat pump just like a refridgerator is still the most widely used.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Just to recap, the heatpump<\/span><span style=\"font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">\u00a0operating principle is based on compression and expansion of a working fluid, refered to as the called &#8216;refrigerant&#8217;.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit;\">In the evaporator heat is extracted from a heat source buy the expanding refrigerant.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit;\">In the compressor this hot refrigerant is compressed and moved to the side where the heat is wanted.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit;\">In<\/span>\u00a0the condenser this heat is delivered to the function where it is used.<\/li><\/ul><p>Electricity does the work to move the refrigerant through this cycle &#8211; no electric energy generates heat, this is harvested from the environment for &#8220;free&#8221;, so a heatpump <b>delivers much more energy<\/b> than it uses.<\/p><p>That&#8217;s why it is economical than gas, which can only deliver less energy than you pay for.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-091c6d6 e-grid e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"091c6d6\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-089c865 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"089c865\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Lower temperature (less than 120 \u00b0C) heatpumps available for some time for applications like food and beverage processing.<\/p><p>H<span style=\"font-family: inherit;
