next to our house, we decided not to use a traditional concrete surface.\u00a0 Concrete would suffocate the ground underneath and increase stormwater run-off from the property.\u00a0 Our theory was there&#8217;s no chance of rainwater becoming contaminated stormwater if it&#8217;s able to soak into groundwater.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-13b4a02 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"13b4a02\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Instead, we chose to install a permeable surface based on a product called\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/geohex.com.au\/?utm_medium=organic&amp;utm_source=local&amp;utm_campaign=gmb&amp;utm_content=website\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/geohex.com.au\/?utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_source%3Dlocal%26utm_campaign%3Dgmb%26utm_content%3Dwebsite&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1759568900765000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2VZQt5Am3IEEG1lIMcPd-T\">GEOHEX<\/a>.\u00a0 Sheets of plastic hexagons are laid on a sand\/screening base and then filled with aggregate to provide a stable, permeable surface.\u00a0 As well as being the ideal product for our carport, GEOHEX is made from 100% recycled post-consumer plastics<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9f7c74d elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" Rainwater soaks into the ground instead of running into a stormwater drain.\u00a0 The nearby plants are thriving by taking advantage of the extra water supply coming from rain that falls on the permeable area.\u00a0 GEOHEX also lives up to the claims of limiting any horizontal or vertical surface movement.\u00a0 The surface resists car tyres forming ruts, only requiring the occasional raking to even out any small aggregate movements.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dc0dd32 e-flex
